Read Before You Buy
These are our terms and conditions.
Before you purchase one of our products, it is important that you read and understand the following:
- All watches bought from Seiko Works carry a one year, return to base guarantee.
- All Quartz watches will have a new battery installed before the watch is posted out. This excludes watches with Lithium or rechargeable capacitors\batteries such as the perpetual calendar and kinetic watches, due to the longevity of these batteries. (If the Lithium or rechargeable capacitors batteries fail within the year, they will be replaced under the warranty.)
- You have a 14 Day cooling period, were you may return the watch back to us.
The postage is non refundable and you will have pay to have the watch returned. (Please see the returns section for details) - Only signed-for and tracked delivery is acceptable.
The watch MUST be returned with all packaging, in the same condition as it was when it left our site. (Please read the returns section as it forms part of our terms and conditions) - We endeavour to provide each watch with the original straps. This is not always possible due to the age and perishability of some of the straps. In these cases we will provide an aesthetically pleasing strap or a version as close to the original as we can.
Straps\Bracelets are not covered by our warranties or guarantees.
If in doubt please ask before purchasing. - All of our watches will have varying band/ bracelet sizes PLEASE ASK BEFORE YOU BUY. We will send the size on request and update the website.
- Some of the watch crystals have not been replaced due to supply\cost issues. Please contact us for availability if required. All of the crystals in our watches, are of an acceptable quality. If we cannot source the original crystal at a reasonable price we will fit good quality alternative crystals in order to keep our prices competitive.
- Unless stated, none of our watches come with the original boxes manuals or any spares, only the watch itself. The boxes in the photographs are for display purposes only. We do have a limited supply of original boxes and instruction manuals but these must be purchased separately as they are expensive, rare and hard for us to obtain. Please contact us for availability and pricing.
- Unfortunately we cannot guarantee the waterproof meterage of the watches due to their age. We do our best to replace old seals, but even this cannot guarantee water resistance to the manufactures stated depth.
- Generally our watches are NOT externally refurbished, apart from the crystals and major physical damage, unless required by the customer. It must be remembered that most of our watches are pre-loved and will have signs of use relative to their age. If you wish for an external refurbishment, this will only be performed AFTER payment has been received for the watch, as most of our customers prefer them to be untouched.
- We do not use a grading system on our watches as these are too subjective.
If you wish to find out more about a watch you are interested in, we will be happy to provide more pictures or a video to help you decide. There could be a delay with this service depending on the availability of our staff.
Requests are limited to one watch at a time per customer. - Any watch bought from Seiko Works, will be accepted for a paid service from the original customer, for the lifetime of the customer or Seiko Works. This is NOT transferable if the watch is sold on.
- Items lost in the post: Very very infrequently, our watches have been lost in the post. Due to the delays by the Royal Mail, we have to wait 90 Days after our claims are acknowledged before we receive compensation. This is beyond our control and unfortunately we have no choice but to wait for verification that an item is deemed lost, before any refunds can be issued. All our items are tracked and insured to the full value of any item sent. You will always receive full compensation in due course. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
- Import duty is the responsibility of the buyer. Please check with your country’s tax office for fees. please enquire using the contact us page for further details or special arrangements.
- All of our watches undergo a meticulous service to ensure functionality and longevity. The movements are security marked to ensure that the small minority of people who buy our watches, with the intention of swapping the movements or parts etc, will be thwarted. We do not condone or tolerate this kind of behaviour.
- Any signs of tampering will make all warranties and guarantees null and void. We will still provide a repair service, but this will be chargeable.
Important information on financial transactions:
- All of our financial transactions including credit / debit card and PayPal payments / refunds, are handled solely by PayPal, with the exception of bank transfers, which are handled by the banks.
- We do not store or have access to any of your financial data.
Please, under no circumstances, ship any watches to us unless you have been issued a reference number and we have agreed to accept them.
If you have any questions or are in any doubt regarding our policies, please enquire using the contact us page BEFORE you purchase.
